Stanford Autopia
An idyllic little town known as Stanford, with all your small town problems: cutting-edge research, after-class froffing, and of course, traffic.
About
Stanford Autopia is a satirical map made in preparation for a Stanford Cartographic Society map-based scavenger hunt that never came to fruition. It is based on my experiences of a biker on campus. Although Stanford is an extremely bike friendly campus, many parts of the school are still designed around cars and auto-dependency. These include extraneous amounts of parking, poor transit choices on campus, harsh bike law enforcement and hundreds acres of suburban faculty development.
Cañada College Redesign
A redesign of Cañada College’s map in the style of the Stanford P&TS Map, without labels and roads made for the same scavenger hunt project.
